East West Baseball Summer Booster Club Camp

A 1 week program that is planned to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence of current Smithtown youth baseball players. The camp is overseen, coordinated, and run by the current head coaches at Smithtown High School East, Ken Klee, and Smithtown West High School, Al Nucci. It is a low pressure, enjoyable atmosphere, where campers from grades K -11 can work with their peers and have an opportunity to learn baseball from current district coaches.  The small groups, based on grade and skill, will be run by current coaches, as well as current and former players from the Smithtown East and Smithtown West Varsity baseball programs.  Campers will have the unique opportunity to get familiar and comfortable with the coaches that they will potentially be playing for in the future.  Throughout the week long camp, players will receive hands on instruction of basic offensive and defensive baseball necessities, such as throwing, receiving, base running, sliding, outfield play, infield play, cutoffs, rundowns, hitting, and bunting. Groups will also have the opportunity to take part in daily contests, which will result in prizes being given to the winners for different baseball related skills. Each day of camp will build on the previous days skills and allow players to acclimate themselves to different situations that can arise in a game of baseball. Anyone interested in learning the game for the first time or fine tuning the skills they already have is welcome to attend.

Camp Session will run on July 5 – July 8 at Smithtown East High School

Camp time will be 8:00 – 1pm
